McCrory Promise Tracker
WRAL’s Mark Binker has catalogued the promises candidate Pat McCrory made on the campaign trail and has organized them on the WRAL.com website to track how well Governor McCrory keeps his promises. It will be interesting to follow during his first year if Binker keeps the list updated.

WRAL says they did not have the resources to track prior governors, including Bev Perdue. They add that they are always adding new features and expanding coverage. At best, the appearance of the new “Promise Tracker” at the start of Governor McCrory’s term, along with commercials to promote it, has to make one suspicious of WRAL’s motives. Time will tell, but I am concerned that WRAL may be starting a witch-hunt of sorts. I have long relied on WRAL for competent reporting of local news and weather, but there are other channels to watch if we perceive WRAL is unfairly attacking our new governor.
That’s easy. Everyone expected Easley and Purdue to lie. They’re self-serving liberals who had the support of a leftist media.
Yawn, this 60’s-style, radical, anti-establishmentarianist journalism is getting tiring! Where was Mark Binker’s, or WRAL’s for that matter, Perdue Promise Tracker or Easley Promise Tracker, or doesn’t Democrat truthfulness matter? The clear intent of this farce is sell a false premise that Republican McCrory will deliberately break promises he never intended to keep and watchdog Mark Binker and WRAL will be there to expose his dastardly deeds to the hapless villagers. Please! Pat McCrory has proven to be an honest, effective executive. What we really need is an impartial and objective voice to counteract the far-left bias that pervades the media in this state. Now that would be a community service!
