White Lake, NC

White Lake, located in the Southeastern part of the state, was formed by subterranean springs. 500 year-round residents live in this Bladen Country resort, but up to 200,000 visit “The Nation’s Safest Beach” each year. White Lake has no currents, tides or big holes…just a white, sandy bottom you can see through crystal clear waters.

All around this 1200 acre resort you find activities that include an amusement park, miniature golf course, a water park, swimming, boating, water skiing, jet skiing and loads of family fun. The third weekend in May the community turns out for the annual White Lake Water Festival with a beauty pageant, parade, music, crafts, and food.

You can stay in an apartment, cottage, motel, or North Carolina’s largest campground, Camp Clearwater. If you’ve been before you are likely to return. If not, it’s clear you need to visit the Carolina Community of White Lake.
