Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton made a quick stop in North Carolina Wednesday evening for a private fundraiser at the home of a north Raleigh couple.

The invitation suggests a donation of $2,700 per person to Clinton's presidential campaign.

Political science expert, David McLennan said he expects the candidiates will be making multiple stops in the state.

"I would say North Carolina is one of five or six states that is going to swing the election," he said. "(The candidates) are really fighting over a small number of voters, so those voters - 10 to 12 percent - that could go either way."

Jim Hunt, a Clinton supporter, admitted he does not like fundraising events.

"It is wrong to have money be such a big factor in American politics, and I think she will work hard to change that," he said.

Former Governors Jim Hunt and Bev Perdue attended the fundraiser. Former U.S. Senator Kay Hagan was also in attendance.

Wednesday was Clinton's first visit to the Tar Heel State since she announced her run.
