Even red states making Obamacare work

It’s becoming clear that the states that embraced the Affordable Care Act are having success, while those who didn’t, like N.C., are struggling. Here are two interesting examples of red states Kentucky and Arizona.

In Kentucky, they’ve enrolled more than 15,000 already. In a recent New York Times op-ed, Gov. Beshear crowed: “[T]o those more worried about political power than Kentucky’s families, I say, ‘Get over it’…and get out of the way so I can help my people. Here in Kentucky, we cannot afford to waste another day or another life.” “[These] are not political decisions. They are moral decisions…Taking these steps will mean that, for the first time, every single Kentuckian will have access to affordable health care.”

In Arizona, Gov. Jan Brewer said once it was clear the law would take effect she expanded their Medicaid programs. “The bottom line is we need that money in our economy to save rural hospitals and jobs in the rural areas,’’ the governor said, as well as making sure hospitals in metropolitan areas, where most AHCCCS patients are seen, get paid. ‘’It’s all about jobs and getting back federal dollars that our taxpayers have paid to the federal government, to bring them home.”

TP Wohlford says:

Which is interesting, given that even Obama has declared that the one public-facing entity -- the website -- doesn't work.

And that the rest of the mandates have pretty much been pushed back by a year.

But hey, it's a religious belief, and she's not gonna cave until... well, probably never. And then, she'll claim that it was a great idea but the Republicans... or that it was a great idea but they didn't do it right. Cause, that's how leftists think.
