She caught them at it again.

"Oh, God, it's Mom," Republican operative Dallas Woodhouse said as, yes, his mother's voice came over the line of C-SPAN's Washington Journal call-in show.

Woodhouse and his brother, Brad, have made a name for themselves as a political oddity. Brad is a Democrat who heads Americans United for Change, a liberal group, while Dallas runs Carolina Rising, which backed Republican state House Speaker Thom Tillis in his U.S. Senate bid. The two have been promoting a film, Woodhouse Divided, which details the conflict brought about by their divergent political proclivities.

The pair were sparring over politics and the Affordable Care Act on Tuesday morning when Mom, aka Joyce Woodhouse, called in.

For anyone who has wondered what holidays might be like at their house, Mrs. Woodhouse confirmed for a national viewing audience what those of us who have covered these two suspected was the answer.

"I disagree that all families are like ours. I don't know many families that are fighting at Thanksgiving," Joy Woodhouse said. "I was very glad that this Thanksgiving was the year you two were supposed to go to your in-laws. And I'm hoping you'll have something out of your system when you come here for Christmas.

She then added, "I love you both."

She also let out that she is a Democrat who sometimes splits her tickets but is mostly voting on the issue of health care right now.

"I am concerned for the party that's going to expand Medicaid. I have an autistic grandson...I guess, I am more of a one-issue person right now in my life," Joy Woodhouse said.
