Bennie Spencer says:

Tom- Good or Bad,I have never heard John and Chris agree so much.

I have been going all around from Randolph Co. to Brunswick preaching

it is not, not the Confederate Flag. It is as, John mentioned, the battle flag. Again good, bad, right or wrong.

The Confederate Flag is the "Stars and Bars" and I'm an engineer not a history teacher. I have informed WRAL, WSJS, WXII, and WGHP of this and only WGHP said they discussed that in their news room discussions. WXII actually changed the midday news to include the correct term, "the battle flag".

I remember when someone chipped off part of Nathanael Green's monument and it was an outrage. It should be the some for the Confederate Monuments as well. An Outrage!

Thanks.

John White says:

In your final segment (#873), the forever-young Mr. Joe Mavretic articulated well something-everyone-knows-but-no-one-will-say. A transcription of his exact words for wide publication would be a public service... and perhaps for distribution through the schools for a "think piece" to begin the school year. How 'bout a bumper-sticker campaign?

NC SPIN's discussion is always interesting and thought provoking -- this edition, especially so. Thanks, and keep up the good work!
