Greg Dail says:

My major was politics at NC State over 35 years ago. I've been interested in and studied politics since Johnson/Goldwater, and I am still amazed at how political pundits think. I've just watched a discussion of HB2 and no one has talked about the real issue; public safety and the protection of women and children.

The Charlotte ordinance which HB2 negated allowed anyone who "self-identified" as a woman to use female facilities (and vice versa). All an individual had to do was be willing to say 'I am a female in a man's body' and there would be no legal authority to keep them out. This is in my view a reckless disregard for the safety and protection of our most vulnerable citizens simply to appease a tiny minority of elites. It is a manufactured controversy, and somehow I don't think Bruce Springsteen's wife and children will be using the restroom at Charlotte's iHop anytime soon.

Please, rather than just discuss the politics talk about the consequences as well. Tell your viewers what the results of the Charlotte ordinance will be. If you do they will see this has nothing to do with discrimination or LGBT rights, it's just politics.
