Clarence McAuley says:

N C spin episode #977 your show on July 23,2017 a group of young (all white) kids. They were all white, all homeschooled and norrow minded views. Which tell me that you and/or your producers are like wise. Next time you have kids please have (1) one minority and maybe from public school. Their opinion count too.

Josh Wilson says:

I was one of these kids, so forgive me if this seems rude, but I would like to clarify something for you and anyone else who might share this view.

The four of us were not chosen to appear on NC SPIN because of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, educational background, or any other reason that may have seemed to put one group of people above another. Mr. Campbell invited us because of questions we asked and conversations we had during a statewide 4-H event where Mr. Campbell and four other NC SPIN panelists held a live panel discussion. He did not know we were all homeschooled until we told him, and if you were to watch other NC SPIN programs, I'm sure you would come to realize that whatever lack of diversity there may have been in this program, be it diversity in race, education, or political affiliation, most other NC SPIN programs do contain plenty of diversity.

I would like to reiterate that I am not trying to attack you for a simple comment that you left on a video, nor am I trying to make you believe anything that you disagree with. I am merely pointing out that whatever first impressions you may have had about this group, they do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Mr. Campbell or the producers of NC SPIN.
