Carl Fox
Superior Court Judge
Fox spent his early years growing up in Mount Olive and took both his undergraduate and law degrees from UNC Chapel Hill. He went to
work as an assistant District Attorney in Chatham and Orange Counties, quickly gaining a reputation as a fair but aggressive prosecutor. In 1986 Fox
was first elected as DA and served in that position until Governor Easley recently appointed him to the bench as a Superior Court Judge.
He has often
been seen as a television commentator on Court TV and other TV and radio programs. In addition to his duties as DA has served on many civic boards
and commissions. For his outstanding achievements in service to the public Carl Fox is this week’s NC Notable.
