Annabelle Lundy Fetterman

Annabelle Lundy Fetterman Annabelle Lundy Fetterman was born in 1921, the daughter of Burrows and Mabel Lundy. She was active in the family business Lundy Packing Company since it opened in 1950. She held various positions in the meat-packing company before becoming its CEO and chairman in 1987. Fetterman remained on the board of directors after Lundy Packing Company was sold in 2000 to Premium Standard Farms.

Fetterman set high ethical standards for the industry while making customer satisfaction the hallmark of the company. “Many of the good things that happened to Sampson County over the past 50 years, including the growth of the swine industry, are attributable to Mrs. Fetterman”, one admirer noted.

She served on numerous community boards including: the American Camilla Society, NC State University, Campbell University, Peace College, and the NC Symphony Foundation.

Fetterman’s commitment to her father’s motto “Service Above Self – He Profits Most Who Serves Best,” makes her an NC Notable.
