Billy Packer
 The son of a university coach, Packer was a Pennsylvania All-State player and starred for Wake Forest as an all ACC guard, leading the Deacons to three regular ACC regular-season titles and a Final Four appearance. After college, Packer came back as an assistant coach, but found his true niche behind a microphone.
In 1972 he teamed with Jim Thacker to cover ACC basketball telecasts, then joined NBC, working with the legendary Curt Gowdy and Al McGuire before moving over to CBS.
Billy Packer is considered one of the most knowledgeable analysts of the college game and has been awarded an Emmy for sports broadcasting, has won the NC Sportscaster of the Year award and has been inducted into the NC Sports Hall of Fame. He has called Final Four games for over thirty years.
