Perdue making the right moves Posted: Tuesday, January 20th, 2009 Whether you supported Bev Perdue's candidacy or not you have to admit our new Governor is making good on her promises to be open and accessible. We have seen a lot of her in the first two weeks.
Perdue scored big points with our hard working DOT employees this morning when she showed up for work and encouraged them as they helped protect our roads.
Her declaration of a state of emergency might be seen by some to have been premature but it was a good move, enabling Governor Perdue to call us the National Guard and activate our emergency center during this snow event. Roads will turn icy and driving treacherous in the cold morning temperatures.
It is still early in the Perdue administration but she seems to be making the right moves so far. Comments
