| September 13, 2012

Tune in for a special healthcare edition of NC SPIN. Healthcare is one of North Carolina’s largest concerns and this week we have four of North Carolina’s healthcare leaders to discuss where we are and what can be done to provide and pay for healthcare for our citizens.

Joining moderator Tom Campbell this week are Bob Seligson, CEO of the North Carolina Medical Society, Bill Pully, President of the North Carolina Hospital Association, Brad Wilson, President and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina, and State Treasurer Janet Cowell, who oversees the State Health Plan, the largest single payer of health insurance in our state.

The show starts with discussion of ACA regarding increasing health care & cost containment and concluded with advice that individuals take responsibility for having good health habits of eating & drinking right and exercising, which I guess is the answer?

Avoid going to the doctor to keep down health care costs, unburden MD case loads, while paying premiums. Did I sum it up?
