The latest poll by the Civitas Institute revealed some interesting information. The poll, released Wednesday, surveyed 600 voters in North Carolina.

When asked about the job that President Donald Trump was doing as President, Trump's approval ratings remained static at 48 percent among those polled, while his disapproval ratings were 46 percent. Governor Cooper's job approval jumped 9 points over the March survey, from 50 to 59 percent. Cooper's disapproval ratings declined slightly to 24 percent.

53 percent approve of the recent repeal of HB2 while 28 percent opposed it. 61 percent believe it will improve North Carolina's economy. 64 percent voiced total support for the reduction in class sizes in public schools. It comes as no surprise that 65 percent voiced total support for reducing income taxes from 5.5 percent to 5.3 percent.

Regarding the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, 35 percent believe the entire bill should be repealed, 22 percent say it should remain as it is, 36 percent say the good parts should be kept and change only the bad parts.
