Norm Kelly says:

Once again, John shows he is thoughtful, intelligent, and well spoken. Once again, Chris shows that he doesn't care about truth, or how the current situation differs from prior situations.

First, John is right. The person shot is not a victim until all the facts are known. If the facts prove what the officers say happened, the deceased is a perp. If the facts prove that the deceased was outright killed by an officer while unarmed, then and only then does that person become a victim.

Then there's the idea of tainting evidence, witnesses, jury pools. If the video is released too early, it does not help move the case forward. It is evidence in an active case and should be treated as such. I know it's painful for the family. But, heck just having a family member lost for ANY reason is hard/painful.

Then there's the difference between the way the NEW law works and the way it used to be, before this law. John explained it very well. But, probably because he's a Hildaliar supporter, Chris chose not to listen. It used to be that video was considered a personnel matter and NOT available to the public. The new law provides for the ability to have the video released to family members first, and eventually to others. But, again, it needs to be considered evidence and treated as such. New law makes it easier to view the video. Chris, the old way made it virtually impossible. So as much as you'd like to continue to vilify Republicans, remember the old way was created/allowed by your beloved libs! So, again, a case where we are better off having elected Republicans. A more open, honest society is the result.

Truth sometimes hurts. More often than not, truth hurts libs more. Which is why the woman-wannabe-president earned the nickname Hildaliar. And too many libs support her no matter what truth comes out about her lie telling. I think someone in the video from this story falls into the category of caring not one whit about truth or lies when it comes to supporting/endorsing/excusing lib pols. Constantly blame Republicans, even when they do the right thing. Twist the story if necessary to make Republicans the bad guys. Make excuses for lib pols, even when they are KNOWN to be incredible liars. Closed eyes are sad things, indeed!
