RE -- The Death Penalty

Very disappointed that no one mentioned that prosecutors should be punished for not doing their job when prosecuting someone for a crime worthy of the death penalty. We bemoan the fact that innocent people are sent to death row but not very often do we punish the prosecutors for seeking a person to blame rather than the guilty party. Note the Alan Gell murder trial and then the aftermath, many years later when Alan Gell was found to be innocent(he could not have committed the murder as he was in jail) he was then forced to wait an extra year in prison waiting for the Attorney General to arrange another trial. At the second trial, a year later, it took the jury about 30 minutes to find Alan Gell not guilty of murder.
