Boomerang

I clicked on Politico news’ website – the first 5 stories were about the Jeffrey Epstein flap; I went to Axios news’ website – Epstein was all over the place again.
When the Epstein controversy showed up I thought, That’s no big deal. No one cares. He died years ago… but suddenly there’re Epstein stories all over the place, on Facebook, X, television, in newspapers.
Odder still, Trump’s taking a lot of ‘friendly fire’ from MAGA supporters like Tucker Carlson, Laura Loomer, and Marjorie Taylor Greene – and firing back, Trump’s calling them ‘bad people’ and posting on Truth Social ‘I don’t want their support.’ Who’d have expected that?
It seems there may really be an army of ‘conspiracy theorists’ out there obsessed with Epstein – and when Trump tells them they’re right about Epstein, they cheer. But then, Trump and Pam Bondi say, Err…there’s no Epstein client list – and that debunks their theory. They stare back outraged, erupt. A fight breaks out.
I guess that means when a politician like Trump tells those folks they’re right, then turns around and tells them they’re wrong, it boomerangs. On Trump. There’s irony in that. But there’s also a kind of justice.
