They knew it was a lie. They knew Biden won and Trump lost. But they told the lie anyway, nightly and relentlessly.
The Fox News crowd – Rupert Murdoch, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham – knew that Sidney Powell, Rudy Giuliani and their crazy conspiracy claims were a crock. They emailed each other that it was all lies.
Nevertheless, they persisted.
They fed the rage and resentment that led to the January 6 attack on the Capitol. Police officers died and were injured. They wanted to hang Mike Pence. They hunted for Nancy Pelosi.
The Fox crowd was worried about ratings, about losing Trump MAGA viewers.
They were worried about money
They were willing to wreck America to enrich themselves.
