Trump took a breath, said he’d make a deal with liberals and conservatives on abortion both like.
Meet the Press’ Kristen Welker, facing Trump, asked whether he’d abolish abortion after 6 weeks, like DeSantis did in Florida.
Trump ripped DeSantis. Didn’t like 6 weeks.
Welker asked Trump how many weeks he did like?
Trump sidestepped. Dodged.
Welker asked Trump if he sees eye to eye with the Republicans who want to make it easier to fire career civil servants – to drain the swamp.
Trump sidestepped again.
Walker asked Trump if he’d pardon himself if he won the election.
“I think it’s very unlikely,” Trump said.
Another hedge.
Trump’s supporters don’t like politicians but the man they do like sounded like a politician.
