NC's first priority is to hush those who disagree

I am happy to report to you, dear constituents, what a good job we’re doing for you here at the N.C. Legislature.

On the very second day of our new session, we took immediate action on one of the most urgent, troubling and vexatious issues our great state faces – so-called “citizens” who come into our legislative building to voice their opinions.

You will remember that we had nearly a thousand of these maniacal kooks arrested and hauled away last year when they wouldn’t cease their intrusive vocalizations. Their behavior was abominable.

They sashayed into our statehouse and had the nerve to chant, pray and – believe it or not – sing “This Little Light of Mine” while we were trying to cut unemployment benefits and require government IDs at polling places to ensure that brain-sick deviants from New Jersey or Florida can’t sneak across the unsecured borders of our state to vote here.

I know every one of you knows how difficult it is to get anything done when a lawless mob is outside your office singing “This Little Light of Mine.”

It simply ruins the decorum so vital to the high level of genteel debate we are required to have with the drooling imbeciles of the opposing party.

And this wasn’t the preschool version of “This Little Light of Mine,” either. Some of these disorderly ruffians would actually clap to the rhythm of the composition, discombobulating our sacred deliberations.

Do you know how hard it is to get a generous lobbyist into a room where there is praying and hymns? This deprived us of their wise counsel when it came time to vote in the best interest of our constituents.

Every Monday this seditious rabble-gang would turn up. Are you in any mood to be sung at on a Monday? These contemptuous riffraff – including preachers, teachers and old ladies – needed to be dealt with, and deal with them we did.

For the first time this century, we activated the Legislative Services Commission and swooshed through new rules, without public comment or even a full vote in the General Assembly. Key portions of the Hush Out There mandate make it a crime to “imminently disturb” those of us dedicated to the open democratic process.

I know you hope as I do that we will never need to use this blunt instrument to maintain order. I know you hope as I do that these dangerous miscreants will simply stay away from a place they’re not wanted.

But should they return, I know you will want them to get what they deserve – a trip to the pokey where they can sing and clap all night without disturbing anyone of importance.

Thank you for your support, dear constituents. I know you will stand behind me as we face this disquieting menace of callous arrogance.

Norm Kellly says:

What's the biggest difference between libs protesting and conservatives protesting? Libs do EVERYTHING they can to disrupt whatever group they are protesting. If they can make enough noise to prevent the group from doing their job, the libs are happy and consider their job done.

When conservatives protest, it's peaceful, quiet, orderly, and they pick up after themselves. There is no one in the corner defecating. There is no one in the corner raping a woman. There are no illegal firearms. They are not making so much noise that business can't continue.

Can you say the same about libs when they protest? Can you say that libs even know what they are protesting when they gather to disrupt business?

It doesn't matter what song the immoral monday protesters were singing. It's the volume, along with the loud clapping, and standing in front of the doors or filling the halls to such an extent that the people who are paid to work can't work or get to work.

Voter ID requirements were not put in place to prevent brain damaged out of staters from coming here to vote. Get your story straight! Stick to the subject! We all know, as do you, that voter ID was put in place to discourage blacks from voting. Those helpless, unidentifiable blacks that can only survive because some kindly white lib helps them through life. It's either you have a straight story or you have no story at all. And why are you libs so willing to ignore, completely ignore, facts? It's not me saying that libs are genetically incapable of recognizing a fact, even when it smacks you in the face. It is libs demonstrating for us, beyond any doubt, that when presented with facts, you ignore them, call them lies and distortions, and go back to your same old unfounded claims of racism. Why is it that when voter ID laws were put in place in other states, voter turnout actually INCREASED?!? And not just white voters either, contrary to the words already slipping out of lib mouths. ALL voter turnout increased, even amongst helpless blacks. Why exactly is this? Only a lib can explain this one away. But they refuse to acknowledge that this is a fact. Doesn't mean it's not a fact, it's just that they refuse to recognize it as such. Then there's the reports about the number of people throughout the state that are registered in multiple districts. And the numbers of those who probably voted in more than 1 district. That is to be ignored also.

Then there's the story about cutting unemployment benefits. What are the facts? Ask your neighborhood lib and they won't be able to tell you because it's a fact and the average lib pol doesn't know what these are and the average low-information lib voter hasn't been told what to think about this by their friends in the media. The facts behind cutting unemployment benefits are easy to understand. The state could not afford to extend unemployment payments again. The state actually couldn't afford to extend unemployment payments the last time the libs did it. Those pesky fact things show that the demon party WENT INTO DEBT to continue to pay unemployed people. Does our state constitution allow the state to have an unbalanced budget? When the libs in Washington tried to force another extension on our state, the Republican legislature took steps to be able to afford it. They ASKED permission from Washington to adjust payments so the state MIGHT be able to afford it without borrowing MORE MONEY from the feds. The answer from the libs in Washington? Absolutely NO CHANGES to the extension or payments! No deviation from the demands of Washington central planners. It is either their way or no way at all. So the legislature did EXACTLY what they should have done. The state couldn't afford to follow the dictates of the central planners, so they eliminated extended unemployment benefits. Unlike the lib pols who prefer to follow the party line than to do what's best for the state, the Republicans did what was necessary. Unlike the lib pols who have no qualms about putting the state in debt, with no plan for payback of the loan, the Republican legislature decided NOT to go into debt. Who decided that the unemployed would no longer get ANY payments? The libs in the central planners. They refused to allow any deviation from their plans. The lib pols in Washington wanted to FORCE NC into further debt, without regard to anything else. Their way or no way at all. Russian roulette. And they expected our state legislature to blink. Who caused the unemployed to be harmed, financially? The lib pols at the central planner level. Fact things, libs! And if following the lib 'plan' for budgets, show me where either the fed level or lib state levels are successful. How's CA working out for the libs? How's the fed budget working out for the libs? Is Obamacancer coming in under budget with better care or is it massively over-budget and under-performing? I know, Obamascare just needs to be TWEAKED and it will be all better.

What lib was complaining about generous lobbyists when it was libs doing it? Is this another example of a double standard? Couldn't be!

When you libs have a valid argument, come back to visit us. In the meantime, go back and look up your facts. Google it, as they say. Read your twits (tweets?) to see what the truth is. Stay away from Survivor and Idol, cuz there's no news there. Or as libs put it, there's no there there. Turn off CNN and every variety of NBC also, cuz there's no news there either. You can find it, but be forewarned. Facts exist out there, with information supporting it to prove the facts. Could be hazardous!
