The media just can't get it right

The New York Times ran a story saying Trump got indicted for saying ‘the election was stolen – going on and on the Times spelled out Trump’s ‘false statements’ like claiming ‘In Detroit, turnout was 139 percent of registered voters’ when turnout in Detroit was really 51%.

But if spinning tales was a crime jails would be full of Congressmen and the House would be an empty chamber. Spinning tales wasn’t why Trump got indicted – he got indicted because, after losing lawsuits claiming votes were stolen, after states confirmed Biden won their elections, and after states picked their Presidential Electors, he tried to replace Biden Electors with Trump Electors so he could stay in power.

But the Times article never mentioned that.
