Trumps and Bidens

Once-upon-a-time, not all that long ago, there were people in both parties who’d vote against a politician who tried to fool them by telling lies – and there were people in both parties who’d argue with someone on the other side, say, about taxes, and still call him their friend. Those days are all but gone. Old-fashioned values have turned upside down.

And you can’t blame Trump or Biden or politicians in Washington or the deep state for that change. The real problem’s voters. Voters gave us Trump and Biden and Washington politicians trading favors for contributions – but instead of asking, How do we get out of this ditch, folks point fingers at one another howling, He did it. It’s his fault.

And, then, as soon as either side wins an election it boasts, We’re going to save America – but we go right on rolling downhill with debt piling up, the Constitution cracking apart, and the Separation of Powers Doctrine falling apart.

So is there a cure?

For healing to start people on both sides have to admit we screwed up – and say a prayer for forgiveness and a blessing. So we can change our ways. And stop voting for Trumps and Bidens.
