Twists and Turns

Here’s a twist: The president sued the IRS for $10 billion.

And a turn: To settle the lawsuit he got his hand-picked Attorney General Todd Blanche to spend $1.776 billion to pay victims of Joe Biden using the Justice Department as a weapon to hurt Trump’s allies.

The first ‘victim’ to file for payment Michael Caputo asked for $2.7 million.

So who gets to decide how much he gets paid?

Trump and Blanche.

That leads to another twist.

I’m no fan of Joe Biden’s but how can Trump pay Caputo for a crime Biden committed – when a jury hasn’t convicted Biden?

Here’s another twist: Trump’s plan won’t put a single crooked politician in jail. So corruption won’t stop.

So what’s the cure?

If Biden, or his minions, committed crimes Trump and Blanche should indict and convict them in front of a judge and jury. That’ll stop corruption. At least for a while.

What if Trump’s spinning a tale so he can pay his allies? That should boomerang on Trump. He should pay a price.

That’s a hard solution.

For both Biden and Trump.

But either Biden committed crimes. Or Trump spun a tale. So one of them needs to face a reckoning. To stop corruption. And put our nation on the road to healing.
