It’s hard to tell how much of this is truth and how much is fiction but here’s the tale: A team of undercover FBI agents out to jail grifters bribing politicians to make money got a tip: Talk to Tom Homan – he can get you ICE contracts if Trump wins.
Undercover agents taped Homan taking a bag of cash with $50,000 stuffed inside. That happened last year, before the election.
Trump won. Put Homan in charge of ICE.
The story about Homan taking a bag of cash landed on NBC, in the New York Times.
Seeing red, Trump’s folks raged it’s fake news, said FBI agents never paid Homan $50,000. Democrats in Congress asked the FBI to release the tape of Homan taking the cash. Kash Patel refused.
That happened back in September. Covering the fall elections the news media moved on, the story faded away. Now it’s all but forgotten.
One hundred and three years ago grifters bribed a politician to get their hands on Teapot Dome oil leases – one sent the politician a bag of cash. The politician landed in jail. Today no one will even say whether the tape of Homan taking a bag of cash exists. So we don’t know the truth. It’s buried.
It’s an odd tale – but we’re living in odd times.
