What about those letters Cooper and Forest sent to teachers?

Roughly 100,000 teachers are employed by North Carolina public schools and public charter schools. These teachers garner lots of attention from elected officials. Right now that attention is coming from Gov. Roy Cooper and Lt. Gov. Dan Forest. Both sent communications to the teachers, creating a dueling narrative about how teachers are treated in North Carolina. I talked with JLF’s education expert, Dr. Terry Stoops, about the controversy.
