Watching the Legislative Process

Over the years, I have been taught a lot of lessons the hard way. On most occasions, I haven't learned my lesson the first time. I've repeated the mistake and got to lick my wounds again.Once in a great while, while licking my wounds for the second or third or fourth time, I have decided that, maybe, just maybe, I should learn something from my mistake. When this happens, at least for me, I put together a "Thumb Rule."

I don't have many thumb rules because I'm a slow learner. For example, I spent the price of a Rolls Royce before I learned,"Never try to breed dogs for sale." Another: "Don't run out of altitude and airspeed at the same time." Or, "If you think things cannot get any worse, they can!"

So......as I watch the Legislative Process, I think about this THUMB RULE: "Never create more enemies than you can handle at the time."
