A lovefest

Times change. Years ago, back in 2016, Ann Coulter wrote a book ‘In Trump We Trust.’ Last year, before the election, she said she’d vote for Trump despite the fact she couldn’t trust him. Times changed.
Trump’s back in the White House, now, holding cabinet meetings – and they’re odd meetings: One by one the camera zooms in on faces sitting around the table and one by one Trump’s appointees all touch the same cord – Pam Bondi spoke first, ‘Mr. President, your first 100 days have far exceeded that of any other presidency in the country. Ever. Ever.’
Time rolled on – it was like watching high school students holding a lovefest: One by one Hegseth, Noem, Burgum, Rubio, Lutnick, Vance lauded Trump.
We’ve got a lot of problems: From immigration to tariffs to Ukraine, Russia and China. We’re in tough times.
After she watched Trump’s last cabinet meeting – remembering Trump’s effusive summits with North Korea’s dictator Kim Jong Un and Trump talking about Kim sending him ‘love letters’ – Coulter pointed to one more problem, posting on X, ‘Would it be possible to have a cabinet meeting without the Kim Jong il-style tributes?’
Amen. It’s time to put high school behind us.
