Americans against facism

There’s a big difference between Trump’s America and 1930s Germany: Americans are fighting back.

As in Germany, jackbooted, helmeted government thugs are rounding up people the Leader deems undesirable.

Trump’s Goebbels, Stephen Miller (photo), warns darkly of “insurrection.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth vows, “Under President Trump, violence and destruction against federal agents and federal facilities will NOT be tolerated.”

Unless, of course, they’re attacking the Capitol to overturn an election Trump lost.

But Americans are resisting.

They’re in the streets. They’re offering refuge to Trump’s targets. They’re resisting mass deportations and detention camps. They’re providing legal recourse to victims.

Judges, journalists, lawyers and university leaders are standing up for free speech, due process and the Constitution.

Next year will be the 250th anniversary of Americans’ rebellion against a King.

This year, let’s show this would-be King we’re still made of the same stiff stuff.
