Do any “Freedom Conservatives” in the Republican Party have qualms about masked government agents snatching people off the street and locking them up?
The only Republican I’ve heard pipe up is lame-duck Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina, who said at a Senate hearing yesterday:
“I want to make sure that Homeland Security can provide me with the definitive list of people who were detained, how long they were detained, whether or not they were released and, when property was damaged, whether or not they’ve been provided proper restitution. We’re the party of law and order, and I want to make sure that we’re also orderly in the process of enforcing it.”
Trump’s Epstein flip-flop suggests he’s losing his grip on the GOP.
Given this month’s elections and his dismal approval ratings, Republicans may jump ship to save themselves in 2026 and 2028.
Some Republicans have questioned Trump ordering the military to bomb boats in the Caribbean.
When Democrats in Congress said that may be illegal, Trump said they’re traitors who should be executed.

They called themselves “patriots.”
